Hygiene Recall Of Aero Eyewash & Wound Irrigation Vials (Saline) (1)
 
Dear Initial Hygiene customer,

We are writing to inform you of an important product recall affecting our Aero Eye and Wound Irrigation products that may have been contaminated during manufacturing.

After consultation with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the manufacturer of the product, Aero Healthcare, is conducting a Medical Device Recall action and notification of certain batches of AeroWash Eyewash and Wound Irrigation (15mL and 30mL).

 

As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, while no adverse incidents have been reported, we are taking measures to ensure the safety of our customers.

 

As a precautionary measure, we have initiated a recall of the affected lots of sodium chloride solution.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and want to assure you that your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities.

 

We kindly ask that you check the lot numbers on your Saline Products in all of our First Aid kits:

  • Check All Door Cards - Medium Kits have Two Vials Large Kits Have Three
  • Check all three modules
    • Eye Injury - Two Vials
    • Minor Wound - Two Vials
    • Burns Module - Two Vials
  • Check Soft Packs - Six Vials in the three modules
  • Check all Car Kits - If a customer has Car kits - Two Vials

To find the lot number on the product:

  1. Locate the barcode label on the item, which is often found on the side or back of the packaging.
  2. Look for the word "LOT" or a similar designation, which is usually printed above or beside a series of numbers or letters.
  3. Identify the alphanumeric sequence following the "LOT" label; this is the lot number of the product.
  4. In this particular image, the lot number is highlighted with a red box for easier identification.

*Please note you will not be affected by this recall if you have not received these lots during 2023.
